I built this because I was tired of spending 30 minutes scrolling through different "best of" lists on Rottent Tomatoes and other such websites.

The problem isn't that there are too few good movies. It's that the best ones are buried under an algorithm trying to keep you engaged rather than actually help you find something worth watching. Recommendation engines optimise for clicks, not quality.

movies.cx is the opposite of that. No trending sections, no "because you watched", no sponsored content. Just a list of films that are genuinely worth your time. I sincerely believe you can't go wrong with any of the movies. Pick a random one and you're almost guaranteed to watch something of quality. The movie might not be of your taste, but at least you don't get recommended crap.
